Hello, I am an online seller from last 2 years. I deal in Mobile Accessories and Electronic products. I sell my products on the marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Club Factory etc. These are very popular market places in India. In my according, it is better to sell products on marketplaces instead of your own website or application. Because, you can easily start selling on popular market places without paying anything. Also, it is not required to work hard for the promotion of your products. Promotion can also be done through the advertisements under the respective marketplaces. In last two years, I have learnt so many things from my online business. You can earn a lot of money from online business. But, to gain success, you need to take your business very seriously. In my view, it is far better to sell online instead of a shop or a mall. Because you are not paying anything as rent, electricity bill, phone bill etc. You can run your business even from your own home.




Definitely, you can make a lot of money with online selling. But, for this, you need to take it seriously and always try to do something new. I mean, try to introduce some new products, try to launch good deals etc. Your earnings will be much better with unique products. Everyday, unique products are launching all over the world. You need to search for these unique products. This activity is very important for your business. Obviously, you will face competition in online selling business because the number of sellers are increasing day by day. But, it is also true that all of them are not success. So, if you want success, you have to think about some new and unique products.





Now, I want to write something about marketplaces. Marketplaces are those websites through which we can list our products, promote our products and sell them to the customers all over the country or all over the world. Marketplaces also help you to ship your products safely and securely to your customers wherever they are. Obviously, the shipping charges will be taken from you. But, still you can earn a good profit. Some popular marketplaces (like Amazon, Flipkart etc.) are providing fulfillment centers or FBA. Under this service, you can send your products to their fulfillment centers for selling. Workers from the respective marketplaces will take care of your products, pack them after getting orders and ship them securely. You do not need to do anything instead of listing your products and promoting them. But, FBA service is not available at all places. If you sell your products from FBA, then the number of orders will also increase and you will get more orders comparatively from FBM (fulfillment by Merchant). 

I am not against of any marketplace. But, if I want to rank them then I need to rank on the basis of the number of customers, competition extent, shipping methods, seller services, fees and return charges etc. On the basis of these qualities, In India, the popular marketplaces can be ranked as following -

5. Club Factory.




and so on...

You can choose any of the marketplaces for your online selling. But, in my view, it is better to choose multiple marketplaces. In this way, you can compare the extent of profit among the marketplaces. Finally, I will say, all the popular marketplaces can help you to earn good profits but the main thing is to choose unique products and best deals.
